A day in the life of a Construction Worker :

At Samaritan's Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff, and volunteers who serve around the globe.

In the role of a Construction Worker, one will have the opportunity to :

• Maintain one's personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
• Work jointly with the Project Superintendent, Construction Foreman, and Logistics Coordinators to construct and / or repair homes in the affected area
• Work with and lead volunteers
• Work with other construction workers and hired subcontractors when needed
• Ensure the quality of each project is maintained to the highest possible standard
• Provide safety training and general project training for team members at the job site and ensure all work is done according to safety standards
• Maintain security of all materials and equipment at job sites
• Ensure quality and adherence to Samaritan's Purse policies from hired subcontractors
• Inspect all jobs, ensuring work is performed per federal, state, and local laws and codes
• Communicate and minister to homeowners and partners, keeping them informed of the team's work and projected needs
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience :

Job Location : Pasadena, California

Type : Full-Time

Language Requirement : Fluency in English (required)

Pay Range : $27 - $33 / hr
