The Construction Estimator will work closely with the Preconstruction and Estimating team to compile accurate and competitive bids. This position plays a key role in developing pricing strategies, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and ensuring that estimates reflect project requirements and market conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Review proposal documents, plans, and specifications to determine scope and estimate requirementsParticipate in pre-bid meetings and bid strategy sessions to assess project feasibilitySolicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing for all divisionsPrepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates under general supervisionMaintain current data on labor, material, and equipment costsDevelop conceptual estimates and cost breakdowns for projects of moderate complexityCoordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to clarify design intent and cost implicationsPrepare qualification and exclusion exhibits tailored to each projectEnsure consistent use of estimating systems, templates, and software toolsAssist in training junior estimating staff and contribute to process improvementsQualifications
