JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title : Physician – Urology
Job Type : Locum Tenens
Location : Pennsylvania
Service Setting : Outpatient and Inpatient
Coverage Type : Clinical + Call
Coverage Period : December 2025 – Ongoing
Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8a–4p (Clinic) | 24-hour call, 7a–7a (Inpatient / Call)
Reason for Coverage : Turnover Vacancy
Assignment Scope : Provider will cover 3 UPMC sites (2 in New Castle 1 in Farrell).
Outpatient services provided at New Castle Facility
Inpatient and call coverage shared between New Castle & Farrell
Provider works at one location per day

PATIENT INFORMATION

Clinic Volume : 20–25 patients per day

Call Volume : 0–4 per night (light weekday call)

Call response time : 30 minutes

Support Staff : APPs available 8a–4p (handle daytime consults, rounding,& support)

FACILITY INFORMATION

System : UPMC (New Castle & Farrell)

EMR System : Epic / Cerner

Privileges Available : Full

Days to Credential : 90

Travel Covered : Airfare, lodging, ground transportation, mileage, parking, and rental car

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required : Yes

Temporary Privileges : Available

Credentialing Timeline : 90 days

Cross-Credentialing : Required across all three UPMC sites

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licensure : Pennsylvania medical license (IMLC accepted; facility may assist)

Board Status : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, CPR

DEA : Required

Experience : Minimum 3 years of practice

Other : Must be comfortable working across multiple hospital sites

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide outpatient urology care in clinic setting

Manage inpatient consults and rounding as needed

Participate in 24-hour call rotation (covering Jameson & Horizon)

Collaborate with APPs for consult management and daytime support
