Medical Assistant Urgent Care Center

The Medical Assistant Urgent Care Center supports urgent care providers by assisting with clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care. This role includes rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, assisting with procedures, and performing basic front-desk duties when needed. The Medical Assistant contributes to a positive patient experience by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized care environment in a fast-paced setting.

Essential Functions :

• Prepares exam rooms and assists with rooming patients, including taking vital signs and obtaining medical histories.
• Supports providers during examinations and procedures by anticipating needs and ensuring necessary supplies and equipment are available.
• Assists with specimen collection and processing under supervision and in accordance with facility protocols.
• Provides patients with clear instructions for follow-up care or diagnostic testing as directed by the provider.
• Maintains clean, stocked exam rooms and performs basic equipment sanitization between patient visits.
• Performs administrative support tasks such as check-in, registration, and patient documentation as needed.
• Monitors patient flow and collaborates with the care team to support efficient care delivery and reduced wait times.
• Responds to basic patient questions and relays more complex inquiries to the provider or appropriate staff member.
• Adheres to infection control protocols, privacy standards, and facility policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
