Job description

ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Portland, Maine.

RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity : RN - PICU

Job Details :

  • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • 6 weekend shifts (Friday / Saturday nights) per time block required
  • No call requirements
  • 4+ years of experience required
  • Pediatric ICU experience is essential
  • Float requirements to NICU, inpatient pediatrics, and Pediatric resource RN role
  • Patient ratios of 1 : 1 or 1 : 2
  • Work with critical care patients with mixed diagnoses
  • Required certifications : PALS, BLS
  • Preferred experience with EPIC, level 1 trauma, post open heart surgery, CRRT, ECMO
  • Equipment includes Abbot Plum Pumps, CADD pumps, Medfusion pumps, Philips monitors, Drager vents
  • EMR system : EPIC
  • Any color scrubs acceptable, personal scrubs permitted
  • Team player personality fit required
  • Orientation typically takes 3-6 months
  • Position provides critical coverage during busy fall / winter season

    This healthcare facility operates an 8-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with 2 additional swing beds on the pediatric inpatient unit. The facility specializes in highly specialized pediatric critical care and maintains state-of-the-art equipment and technology to support complex patient needs. The organization emphasizes comprehensive orientation programs and teamwork to ensure quality patient care in this specialized unit.
