Description : Purpose
Responsible for coordinating all patient pre-registration activities including phone access patients / family, processing complete, accurate patient registration in an efficient and courteous manner, obtaining patient demographics and insurance information, and will be the initial point of contact for patients scheduled to be into JCRHC. Will be responsible for collecting all necessary documentation and co-payments and deposits as well as interfacing with the patients and their families to discuss payment options. Will also assist in the verification of insurance and reviewing payment alternative and making referrals to the Business Office as needed. Will ensure all activities achieve high patient satisfaction levels and support successful billing activities, while supporting the standards and philosophies of JCRHC. Additional responsibilities will be assisting with accepting payments, registration duties, and other duties as assigned.

Materials Responsibility
Very Limited. Work requires very limited responsibility for material resources. Examples of resources could include personal work materials, supplies or equipment, or very small amounts of cash. The employee has a very limited of indirect amount of control over these resources. Although human error might require the repair or replacement of materials, usually the cost of correcting these errors is minor. The variety and volume of resources is also very limited. Problems associated with material resources are very complicated.

Position Specifications
Education
High School graduation or equivalent
Field of Study
Special Training
Patient registration and / or pre-registration or accounts receivable and insurance verification experience; Dependent Adult / Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training, CPI, within timelines established in the Licensure, Registration, Certification and Life Saving training policy.
Training Preferred
Computer knowledge and strong computer / keyboarding skills.

Experience
More than 1 year of experience recommended / preferred

Interaction is with a variety of people. These may be fellow employees, customers, the public or others outside the organization. Communications are of limited difficulty.
