An Engineer for a medical devices and equipment manufacturing company is needed in the Irvine, CA area. This is a mid-to-senior level Product Design Engineer role focused on taking new products from concept to production by leveraging CAD modeling, rigorous validation testing, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure safety and manufacturability.

responsibilities :

• Research, design, and validate new products from initial concept to market launch.
• Define precise functional requirements and technical specifications for new product designs.
• Integrate and test various components to ensure the final product is cost-effective, reliable, and safe.
• Develop and execute fitness-for-use testing and comprehensive process validation plans.
• Create and manage detailed material part specifications and complex bills of materials (BOM).
• Collaborate with internal and external manufacturing partners to optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM).
• Utilize CAD and CAE systems to create 3D models and precise engineering drawings.
• Operate as an independent individual contributor, applying professional judgment with minimal supervision.
• Analyze factual information to make evaluative judgments and solve complex technical issues.
• Maintain high attention to detail throughout the product development lifecycle.
