We are looking for a detail-oriented AML Compliance Analyst to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards by analyzing compliance alerts and conducting thorough investigations. Responsibilities :
- Review and interpret risk guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Conduct quality checks on cleared compliance alerts to determine whether proper actions were taken.
- Collect and document relevant data, including investigations, suspicious activity reports, currency transaction reports, and Know Your Customer (KYC) information.
- Perform deep-dive research and analysis of large datasets to identify potential risks or irregularities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and thorough documentation of account and transaction details.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of compliance processes and recommend improvements as needed.
- Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements and apply them to ongoing investigations.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and summaries for management and regulatory review.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all compliance activities.
- Proven experience in AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance or a related field.
- Strong understanding of policies, procedures, and regulations relevant to financial compliance.
- Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to process large volumes of data.
- Familiarity with Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs).
- Knowledge of Know Your Customer (KYC) standards and practices.
- High attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in documentation.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with teams and present findings.
- Ability to adapt to regulatory changes and apply them to compliance processes.
