A health services organization in California is looking to add several new Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to their growing team. In this role, the DSP will be responsible for providing hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), helping them with daily living activities, personal care, and participation in community-based programs.
About the Opportunity :

- Assignment Length : Ongoing
- Shift : Monday to Friday
- Hours : 8 : 30am to 3 : 30pm (on-duty meal break)
Responsibilities :
Assist individuals with toileting, hygiene, eating, mobility, and other daily living activitiesImplement functional living skills based on each person's Individual Service Plan (ISP)Engage participants in structured activities such as art, gardening, sensory play, and computer classesSupport communication goals using assistive devices and techniquesAssist with mobility programs and adaptive equipmentMaintain accurate documentation of behaviors, activities, and careParticipate in off-site outings and community integrationFollow infection control, safety, and emergency proceduresCollaborate with nursing and supervisory staff to ensure quality careQualifications :
High school Diploma / GEDFirst Aid certificationStrong communication skillsComfortable with hygiene-related responsibilitiesDesired Skills :
6+ months of experience working with individuals with Developmental and / or Physical DisabilitiesInformal Caregiving experience (e.g., family caregivers, stay-at-home parents)Ability to work cooperatively with a multidisciplinary team
