Position Summary :
The Hotel Sales Manager here at the Murieta Inn and Spa is responsible for generating revenue through the development of new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and implementing sales strategies that align with the hotel’s overall business goals. This role focuses on maximizing occupancy, banquet, and catering sales while ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction and brand integrity. Hands on experience with client needs as top priority.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve room night, catering, and event revenue goals.
Identify, solicit, and secure new business accounts through proactive sales calls, networking, and site tours.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate, group, and leisure clients.
Collaborate with the General Manager to develop promotional packages, rate strategies, and marketing initiatives.
Prepare and present sales proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders (BEOs) to clients. Attention to detail in creating BEOs
Conduct property tours and coordinate with the operations and events teams to ensure seamless execution of group and event bookings.
Maintain detailed records of all sales activities and client interactions within the hotel’s CRM system.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to adjust strategies and remain competitive.
Attend trade shows, community events, and industry functions to promote the hotel’s brand and services.
Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, brand standards, and revenue management guidelines.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 3–5 years of hotel event or sales experience, with a proven record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
Strong knowledge of hospitality sales, group contracts, and catering operations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS) and CRM tools (e.g., Delphi, Opera, or similar).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
Professional appearance and demeanor, with exceptional customer service orientation.
