MUNICIPALITY OF MONROEVILLE

POLICE OFFICER

The Municipality of Monroeville is accepting applications for Full Time Police Officer from November 14, 2025 to December 1, 2025 at the Police Administration Office in the Monroeville Municipal Building, 2700 Monroeville Blvd., Monroeville, PA 15146 between the hours of 10:00am and 4:00pm Monday through Friday. All applications returned in person must be received no later than 4:00pm on Monday, December 1, 2025, and marked Police Officer.

Requests for applications to be sent through the mail must include a self-addressed, stamped, business size envelope along with the request. Those returned by mail must be postmarked prior to 4:00pm on Friday, November 28, 2025 and marked Police Officer. The Municipality assumes no responsibility for missed filing deadlines due to the delay in the mail.

All applicants must submit the following with a fully completed and notarized Municipality of Monroeville Employment Application Form:

  Application Fee (non-refundable) in the amount of $75.00 in a check or money order (no cash) made payable to “Municipality of Monroeville”.

  Copy of a diploma from high school or graduate equivalency diploma (G.E.D.)

  Copy of College diploma or transcript, if applicable.

  Copy of valid motor vehicle operator’s license.

  Copy of Birth Certificate or Baptismal Certificate, must be 21 years of age before the deadline for submitting applications.

  Copy of Military Form “DD-214” if claiming Veteran’s preference.

  
  

If employed with the Municipality, all police officers shall reside within twenty (20) air miles of the Monroeville Municipal Building, located at 2700 Monroeville Blvd., Monroeville, PA., within 6 months of completing their probationary period.

If employed as a Police Officer with the Municipality of Monroeville, in accordance to Policy 1022, visible tattoos must be covered by the approved navy blue long sleeve uniform shirt. Tattoos on the face, neck and hands are prohibited. Branding, scarification or burning to create a design or pattern is prohibited.

The Municipality of Monroeville reserves the right to request any other information as may be deemed necessary to complete the application process.

The Municipality of Monroeville reserves the right to disqualify any application found to be fraudulent in content, incomplete or for just cause.
