New Milford Hospital, part of Nuvance Health and now Northwell Health, has an exciting new opportunity for an Oncologist in our New Milford Connecticut office, about 80 miles outside of New York City. Our Cancer Institute is growing rapidly as we are expanding our clinical trial portfolio and positioning ourselves to be a destination cancer program in this region. Our New Milford team is part of our larger Danbury, CT team.

• $50,000 Sign on bonus / retention package plus relocation allowance is available for full time candidates.

The ideal candidate will be board certified in oncology and have sub-specialty interest in breast and / or lung oncology. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses.

Danbury and New Milford Hospitals are part of Nuvance Health, which includes 7 hospitals / cancer centers throughout western Connecticut and southeastern New York and diagnoses approximately 4600 new cancer cases each year. Danbury Hospital provides our hospital systems and multi-specialty practice with tertiary oncology services and is accredited by The American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. Danbury has many of the key elements of a comprehensive oncology service line in place, including state-of-the-art radiation oncology and Surgical specialty services in Breast, Thoracic, Gastrointestinal, Gynecologic, Genitourinary Oncology and Hepatobiliary Surgery. Nurse navigation, genetic counseling and screening are available onsite. There is ample opportunity to pursue research and clinical trials.

Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine.

Litchfield County borders Fairfield County. The area enjoys both regional proximity to New York City culture and access to a wide variety of venues for four season outdoor and indoor recreational activities.
