Estimator - Iron Mountain, MI

Hubbell's Systems Control location in Iron Mountain, MI is looking for an Estimator to join the team and support the growth of the business. The Estimator position is responsible for providing proposal estimates, cost analysis, bid reviews, pricing, and proposal documentation for potential and actual sales.

A Day In The Life

• Serve as primary point of contact with customer during bid preparation, including clarifying specification requirements and verifying bid scope
• Prepare price and technical proposals for customer submittal, including preparation of standard proposal letters, bills of material, and supporting data or completing / preparing customer structured bid responses
• Follow-up on submitted proposals for status and / or clarifications
• Develop detailed cost estimates (including labor costs and obtaining material quotations) for all product offerings from customer RFQ's
• Complete handoff to project team for awarded projects and assist team in understanding scope and requirements
• Work with manufacturing to incorporate cost savings initiatives and production improvements into estimates.
• Accurately maintain status of estimates, proposals and associated documentation in 1CRM.
• Coordinate with the Compliance Team and Product Design Team for projects, as required.
• Assist in coordination and participate in Customer visits to Systems Control
