Supply Chain Manager
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of supply chain management and ensuring the flow of raw materials and final products from suppliers to GP&L Distribution. In addition, manage the GP&L vehicle fleet operations and facility grounds maintenance programs.
Pay Range : $27.55 - $35.17 (Depending on qualifications and experience)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned :
- Ensure GP&L Distribution logistics and inventory functions comply with all regulatory and budgetary requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and compile accurate reports of inventory transactions and prepare monthly reports for GP&L Distribution Administration, GP&L Accounting, and Internal Auditing departments.
- Assist with the preparation of responses to compliance requests for information, audits, compliance violations, spot check documentation.
- Manage and maintain inventory and purchasing records including amount, type and value.
- Contact vendors and enter orders for supplies and materials using COG purchasing procedures.
- Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
- Develop processes to make supply chain more efficient, compliant, and organized.
- Communicate with Distribution Administration to review and determine appropriate inventory levels.
- Coordinate efforts between GP&L, TMPA, and Fleet Services to ensure vehicle repair, routine maintenance scheduling, transportation of vehicles to vendors and quality control review of completed repairs.
- Develops negotiation strategies, options, and contingency plans to mitigate supply risk, performance, and cost escalation.
- Manage and maintain vehicle cost records associated with operating each vehicle or piece of equipment.
- Review and track actual equipment life to recommend a non-standard ERF cycle as needed to GP&L management and Fleet Services Department.
- Collaborate with Fleet Services to furnish recommendations for vehicle and equipment repair or replacement, as well as completes estimate costs to budget and provides specifications for procurement of GP&L and TMPA heavy vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure monthly safety inspections on all GP&L and TMPA vehicles and equipment, and report to GP&L management to ensure compliance.
- Contractor management and coordination to ensure maintenance of site grounds, landscaping and heavy cleaning duties.
Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D)5 years related experience Inventory managementPreferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent5-10 years with logistics, operations management, inventory management5-10 years Fleet Maintenance background5-10 years with electrical utility experienceKnowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Must be able to obtain Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with Tanker endorsement within 3 months of hire (employer may sponsor cost)Physical Requirements / Work Environment :
The incumbent will work both in a typical office environment; relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards and will work in a typical electric utility job site and vehicle shop environment with associated unpleasant environmental conditions and hazards. May frequently lift and carry items ranging from 10 to 25 pounds. Occasionally bend, stoop and climb to assess or inspect vehicle operation. Frequently coordinate eye, hand and foot movements to operate a vehicle.
