Position : Hardware Engineering Manager

Location : Valley Green, PA

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom / Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters is located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking a Hardware Engineering Manager to join our team in Valley Green, PA.

High speed cable backplane systems enable most of the world’s IT and datacom; including leading the way for the AI / ML revolution; and require some of the most advanced manufacturing technologies, and highest levels of precision, in the engineering world. These challenges require the most creative, technical minds, and ultimately provide the most rewarding experience for an engineer.

Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers in the design, development, and testing of hardware components and systems for custom cable assemblies.
• Oversee project timelines, ensuring that milestones and deliverables are met on schedule; communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including signal integrity engineering, product management, and manufacturing, to ensure cohesive product development.
• Develop and implement engineering development processes and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Manage resource allocation and budgeting for hardware development projects.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Direct the growth plan for the team, including scaling resources to support business growth, taking an active part in the interview and recruitment process, and the onboarding / training of new hires.
• Conduct performance reviews and support the professional growth of team members.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.
