Job description

REPORTS TO : General Manager.

EXPERIENCE :

General knowledge of maintenance and related work experience.

DRESS CODE :

Maintenance uniform including name tag.

PHYSICAL :

Requires the ability to lift 80 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to drive a vehicle and have good communication skills. Must be able to help out in an emergency situation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Preventive Maintenance of all guest rooms, equipment, and supplies. This includes, but is not limited to :

HVAC and PTAC

  • Vacuums
  • Ice Machines
  • TV's
  • Washers and dryers
  • Water heaters
  • Sprinkler Systems
  • Swimming Pool
  • Case goods and cabinets
  • Maintain the swimming pool and whirlpool according to standards set by local health departments and the franchise.
  • Perform all specific repairs unless a general contractor is needed and approved by management.
  • Provide assistance to all other departments as needed.
  • Be on call at all times in case of emergency.
  • Must be able to operate basic maintenance tools.
  • Must be able to read and follow instructions.
  • Must be able to run errands for hotel.
  • Must adhere to strict key control policies
  • Must keep accurate records of all preventative maintenance.
  • Perform outdoor lawn and snow services as needed.
