Medical Assistant II - $21 / hr | Austin, TX 78717 (OBGYN Clinic, Bilingual Spanish / English Preferred)

Location : Austin, TX 78717 (OBGYN Clinic)

Schedule : Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM

Pay : $21 / hour

Must have at least 1-2 years of OBGYN experience and strong patient care, scheduling, and customer service skills.

Overview

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant with hands-on OBGYN clinic experience . The ideal candidate will be patient-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting both providers and patients in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome and interact with patients, families, and visitors in a professional, timely, and culturally sensitive manner.

Respond to questions related to appointment status, wait times, and clinic processes .

Communicate with patients, staff, and providers regarding arrivals, delays, and updates.

Proactively resolve patient concerns and implement service recovery measures.

Identify prolonged wait times and escalate to clinic management.

Obtain translation services as needed for patients.

Participate in clinic meetings and staff training to improve patient flow and service delivery.

Perform clinical duties such as vital signs, rooming patients, phone calls, scheduling, and assisting with OBGYN procedures.

Notify licensed staff or supervisor when unable to complete assigned tasks.

Requirements

Experience : Minimum 2 years of related Medical Assistant experience, including 1-2 years in OBGYN required .

Education : High School Diploma or GED required.

Certification : One of the following is required - CCMA, CMA-AAM, EMT, Advanced EMT, EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, Paramedic License, NCMA, NRCMA, or RMA.

Skills :

Knowledge of OBGYN patient care tasks, appointment scheduling, and medical terminology.

Proficiency with computers and basic clinic / patient care equipment.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and make quick decisions.

Preferred : Bilingual Spanish / English.

Primary Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM. Primary site in Austin, TX 78717 (OBGYN Clinic).
