We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neurocritical Care for a locum tenens position near Joanna, SC. Key Responsibilities :

Coverage Requirements

Provide night shift coverage from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., 5 consecutive days per week.

• Expected to work between 10 to 14 nights per month.
• No weekday or weekend call.

Patient Care

Manage an average of 7 patients per day.

• Handle 8 hospital patients daily, including 3 admissions and 8 ICU patients.

Procedures and Skills

Required : Central lines and arterial lines.

• Preferred : Experience with infectious disease, hematologic disorders, surgical care, and suturing.

Support

Work alongside 3 physicians onsite at all times.

• Anesthesia and GYN services available as needed.
• Access to support from specialized consultants for complex cases.
Requirements :
• Licensure

Active South Carolina license required; no exceptions.

• Certifications

ACLS and BLS required.

• Experience

Minimum of 2 years in an ICU setting with current experience in neurocritical care.

• Charting

Experience with Epic preferred.

• Credentialing

Estimated timeframe of 60-90 days to start.

Availability required for 5 days consecutively, with a flexible schedule to be determined between client and provider on a monthly basis.
