It, EME, PDL, and Meta Programming , with proven ability to manage large-scale data integration projects. This role involves close collaboration with business analysts, data architects, and QA teams to deliver scalable, high-performance, and business-critical data solutions .
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, test, and implement ETL workflows and applications using Ab Initio .
- Work with large-scale datasets, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization .
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to analyze requirements and deliver solutions aligned with project goals.
- Develop reusable components, frameworks, and utilities to improve development efficiency.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system testing for ETL solutions.
- Support production deployments and resolve issues related to data pipelines, performance, and ETL jobs.
- Work with data modeling teams to translate business requirements into logical and physical data models.
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and optimization of ETL processes.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC, coding standards, and best practices in data engineering.
Required Skills & Experience :
8+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years of hands-on Ab Initio development .Strong expertise in Ab Initio GDE, Co>Op, Express>
It, PDL, EME, and Meta Programming .
Experience in ETL design, performance tuning, and optimization .Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (DW / BI) and ETL best practices .Strong experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle, Teradata, DB2, etc.).Hands-on experience with Unix / Linux scripting .Knowledge of big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, HDFS) is a plus.Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) preferred.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments .Healthcare or insurance domain experience (highly desirable).Exposure to data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks .
