About The Position

Job Title : Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Profession : Nuclear Medicine

Shift : 9H Days

Hours per Shift : 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, potential for weekend call

Experience : Minimum of 1 year

License : Required

Certifications : ARRT, BLS (AHA)

Must-Have : Work independently

Description :

No clinical involvement.

Candidates must not have been full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with the client within the past year.

Department includes nuclear medicine.

General certification requirements include BLS.

Certifications include ARRT (MR) or NMTCB (Nuclear Med Tech Cert Board) and any other specialty certification requirements.

The department has 1 scanner.

Floating or covering other areas may be required.

Common types of imaging / studies performed include cardiac, HIDA, bone, gastric, and VQ.

Average number of scans / studies per day is 3-8.

The software and hardware used for EMR and PACS is Cerner.

Department specific equipment includes Siemens and D-Spect for cardiac.

A radiology supervisor or lead tech is present.

Occasionally, registered radiology assistants (RRAs) are utilized.

A radiologist is in-house.

Starting IVs is a requirement.

Shifts are typically Monday through Friday, with hours from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM.

No weekend work is required, but picking up call may be an option.

Holiday work may be required.

There is no call or standby requirement.

Scrubs are not provided.

The charting system used is Cerner.

A BSN is not required.

Trauma Level : Care setting is acute.

Division : Allied.
