am to pm. Rotating weekends. Physical ability to move a hospital bed between buildings. Coordinates new equipment incoming inspections with operational managers.

Looking for someone to help manage equipment distribution. Primarily bed distribution and collection, this is % of the role. They have a program where they provide working beds to the Columbia campus and remove broken beds to warehouse for repair. The gap is getting the beds to the patient floor and broken parts collected. One of the responsibilities is managing requests to bring beds to patient areas, bringing beds back, documenting, and get bed repair requests submitted. Checking to make sure there aren’t pieces of beds and equipment left in hallway, pick items up and remove. If beds are broken and cannot be pushed, they have movers, and the movers have dollys. This role could include submitting the request for a mover. Only performing this bed removal and delivery for Columbia. + bed facility. If no work in the bed space, there are other responsibilities. Other responsibilities include shipping and receiving medical equipment, receiving repaired equipment back from vendors who fixed, parts inventory and management, and assists with ordering supplies. Role includes submitting part requests. This role works in a separate wing of the Columbia campus, in the biomed dept, also in the shipping and receiving area, but not in the warehouse. Could include going to the warehouse to retrieve or return things. Software being used in this role is sentact and Connectid but Aims is replacing connectid. If someone has experience with these great but not required. It will be tough finding experience to these programs but if someone has inventory mgmt. and ordering experiences, they have experience with similar programs and as long as they are tech savvy, they will learn these systems quickly.

Requirements for this role : At least HS Diploma, no AS or BA degree needs at least - yrs exp. Candidates need at least year of experience in a customer service type of role and most preferred to have experience in customer service AND inventory management. What’s most important is candidates are willing to work in a physical role, on their feet all day, positive and professional since they are in public / general areas throughout the day, and are tech savvy and quick learners. This role is not sitting at a desk but on your feet for / hours. Experiences stocking shelves, moving equipment, parts, boxes, etc., are all bonuses if they have these prior experiences.
