Animal Care Specialist / Kennel Assistant

Salary: Starting at $15.00 per hour

You will work closely with the veterinary professionals of Riverview Animal Clinic,which will allow you opportunities toadvocate for the care of the animals that arein the clinic either in the hospital or in our boardingareas.In addition to the care, feeding and cleaning of the pets in our facility, you will have theaccess to a variety of education and development opportunities all while working in a professional, compassionateand team centered environment.The animal care specialist role is a key member of the hospital team who supports the mission of providing progressive patient care to all of our patients.

Riverview Animal Clinic is open Monday-Saturday with a rotating schedule through weekendsand holidays.Requirements are to be able to handleliftinga maximum of 50 pounds.

This is a full-time position, with a great benefit package.

Job Duties:

• The role as an Animal Care Specialist is to provide exceptional patient care to our boarded and in-patient guests including feeding, walking, bathing, TLC, enclosure/facility cleaning/sanitizing, and report signs of illness, disease, injury or unusual activity to veterinary technicians/veterinarians.

Schedule:

• Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts (7:00am-6:00pm) with weekend rotation.
