The Central Supply Coordinator assesses the need for and provides supplies and equipment in an efficient manner, and in accordance with applicable state, federal, and Company guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establishes communication with center nursing staff to ensure adequate supplies are obtained and
available according to patient needs.
Maintains adequate inventory of nursing supplies as directed by the Director of Nursing.Maintains supply room areas in accordance with Life Safety Codes.Ensures that supply and equipment charges are adequately communicated to the Finance Department.Maintains monthly budget control forms on all medical and nursing supplies.Ensures purchasing procedures are followed per company policies.Ensures that vendors provide appropriate material safety data sheets (MSDS) in accordance with OSHAregulations and company policy.
Notifies finance department of all charges for supplies and equipment.Organizes storage, issue, and delivery of supplies and equipment in accordance with establishedpolicies and procedures.
Reports all instances of abuse or neglect or other concerns to management.Attends and participates in orientation, training, in-service education, and staff meetings.Ensures mandatory training is completed on time.Performs other duties as necessary for the successful operation of the healthcare center.PREREQUISITES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Ability to communicate, comprehend, understand, and write messages, and follow directions.Must have ability to count, add, and subtract.
