Job description

Supervisor I, Inventory Control

Supervisor of inventory control has the primary responsibility for overseeing the execution and completion of inventory control activities, including the receipt, movement, storage and dispositioning of company inventory and non-inventory materials, instruments and supplies, performing and maintaining cycle counting activities, and supporting manufacturing and R&D departments with inventory and warehousing requirements. Also ensures the proper training and guidance for all members and tasks are performed in compliance with SOP's and procedures.

Duties and responsibilities include overseeing the processing and fulfilling of internal material requests, monitoring and overseeing material dispositioning activities, overseeing the replenishment of laboratory supplies and floor stock inventory levels, and overseeing the constant flow of inventory and supplies in and out of the company's warehouse facilities.

Experience and qualifications required include a high school diploma, minimum 5 years of experience with performing inventory control and warehousing activities in a manufacturing and / or Life Science environment, and a valid driver's license and company insurable driving record.

Knowledge, skills and abilities include demonstrated proficiency in the use of material handling equipment, proficiency with performing inventory transactions in ERP systems, ability to operate / execute basic computer skills with a working knowledge of MS Office Suite, and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Physical demands include sitting and standing for long periods, walking, using hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms, and moving / lifting up to 50 pounds.

Compensation summary for this position ranges from $59,100 to $87,900. Employees may also qualify for a discretionary or non-discretionary bonus in addition to their base salary.
