Pay Range : $20 - $40 (Depending on Experience)

Position Overview

The Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on gas and diesel-powered heavy, light, and medium-duty vehicles. This role involves preventive maintenance, diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Perform preventive maintenance on gas and diesel-powered heavy, light, and medium-duty vehicles.
• Change tires and analyze electronics on vehicles.
• Review vehicle maintenance logs and alerts in Samsara to identify upcoming service needs, track vehicle status, and plan necessary maintenance actions.
• Communicate proactively with vehicle operators to gather details about performance issues or concerns before conducting repairs.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Complete all assignments as directed.
• Conduct purchases in accordance with Purchase Order Requirements for purchases over $100.00, including obtaining approval from the Supervisor and including the proper vehicle / unit number on each purchase order.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
