Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record, a High School Diploma or GED, be able to work weekends, and a desire to make a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities!
$20.50 per hour after completion of the first week of orientation (approximately 40 hours), in-program training (approximately 40 hours), and submission of completed training documentation. During training, and until the completed training packet is submitted to the Human Resources Department, the training rate of pay is $16.07 per hour. We provide various trainings including CPR / FA and medication training.
The typical shifts for these full-time positions are either 3pm-11pm or 11pm-9am in our residential programs. These positions are full-time (at least 40 hours per week) and include weekends.
Once you join our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll have paid training and orientation sessions to gain skills in areas pertaining to developmental disabilities, medication dispensing, CPR / FA, crisis management, behavior support, documentation, and other job-related topics.

Here's a brief summary of the benefits offered : Health, dental, and vision benefits are available on the first day of the month after 60 days of full-time employment. The agency offers a two different plans with Aetna, one of them being a HSA plan. Employer paid group term life insurance is available to you after five months of full-time employment. You can enroll in the Principal Retirement Plan immediately, and be eligible for up to 3% matching contributions after a year of employment. There are nine residential holidays that staff are compensated either time and half or double time for hours worked on these days. We offer personal time-off, vacation time, and sick time.
