Assistant Store Manager

We're seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with store functions and day-to-day store activities, helping customers in a positive, approachable manner, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. The role also involves organizing and transferring merchandise from the delivery truck to the stockroom to the sales floor as needed, ensuring the seasonal areas of the store are maintained, and performing opening and closing procedures as needed. Additionally, the Assistant Store Manager will process all corporate directives, maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays, assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention. They will also maintain areas of the store to company standards, protect and secure all company assets, adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines, supervise, train, and develop store associates, ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment, maintain the cleanliness throughout the store, and perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and experience required include a high school diploma or equivalent, store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height, and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required, as well as the ability to work in a high-energy, team environment. Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required, along with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
