Position Details

Cardiac Medical Stepdown Unit (CMSU) RN

NO LOCAL CANDIDATES (no candidates within 50-mile radius)

MUST pass EKG Exam at Orientation (Study Guide Available in Simplify Library)

Must be proficient in lab draws required

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required

36-Hr GTE, 12-Hr Nights, required to work every other weekend / major holiday

Unit Specific Details

24 Beds

Patient Population :   SD, cardiac, surgical, renal, End stage respiratory, continuous BiPAP

Skill Sets : Cardiac drips and titrations, BiPAP, insulin drips, cardiac rhythm

Equipment : Alaris pumps, BiPAP, PCA, GlucoStabilizer, bedside cardiac monitor, Hoyer and Sara Stedy lifts

Scrubs : Navy blue, white, or any combination of the two colors
