We have a relatively unique set of skills within the software organization that lets us build those tools. The Tools team owns and maintain services that have been built. In this team you will improve on our existing suite of services, and expanding it with new tools. / ppYou will... / pulliLead technical and architecture discussions, collaborating with Researchers and Engineers. / liliMentor other software engineers via code reviews, technical design reviews, and sharing general software development best practices. / liliBe part of a team of multidisciplinary Engineers and Researchers using an AI-first approach to enable safe self-driving at scale. / liliBuild and maintain interactive web tools including interactive simulation, custom labeling tools, data annotation tools, dataset curation tools, result comparison tools, and more. / li / ulpQualifications : / pulliBachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related engineering disciplines. / lili5+ years of industry experience developing production quality software. / liliExperience with modern web technologies / libraries for building responsive web applications. Examples : TypeScript, React, or similar languages and tools. / liliExperience with a variety of backend technologies and languages. Examples : Go, Python, Rust, C++. / liliExperience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP.- Ability to learn new technologies quickly. / liliEmpathy for the people who will use the tools you create and maintain.- Open-minded and collaborative team player with willingness to help others.- Passionate about self-driving technologies, solving hard problems, and creating innovative solutions. / li / ulpBonus / nice to have : / pulliExperience working with container and cloud infrastructure and managing infrastructure-as-code. / liliExperience with 3D visualization (WebGL) / real-time interactive systems. / liliExperience with web visualization libraries such as D3.js, three.js, or similar. / liliPrevious experience or passion in UX / design. / liliExperience with software development tools including build system, version control, continuous integration, containers, packaging, profiling, debugging, code review, linting, test automation, and test coverage tools. / liliExperience in ML and self-driving. / liliExperience working with robotics or machine learning research teams. / liliExperience working in an Agile / Scrum environment. / li / ulpThe US yearly salary range for this role is : $141,000 - $249,000 in addition to competitive perks benefits. Waabis yearly salary ranges are determined based on several factors in accordance with the Companys compensation practices. The salary base range is reflective of the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
