General Function

The Senior Process Engineering Manager is responsible for developing strategy and delivering recommendations to lower cost while meeting all quality standards. The successful candidate will work closely with Manufacturing Operations to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements that bring metrics in line with financial goals.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

  • Oversee all technical operations related to plastic injection molding, including process optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Manage a team responsible for development, qualification, and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment on the production floor.
  • Lead and implement operational excellence and continuous improvement projects.
  • Create strategy for the team and provide tactical guidance to meet budget targets.
  • Coach team on Lean tools and Six Sigma problem-solving methodologies to use data for solving complex problems.
  • Influence decisions by building positive relationships with Maintenance, NPD, Tooling, R&D and other teams.
  • Analyze new product / process handoffs and determine path forward when requirements are not met.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Develop a 3–5 year vision for the team in collaboration with cross-functional leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of management experience in plastic injection molding, moldmaking, and toolmaking
  • RJG Master Molder certification or equivalent
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • 5+ years of experience managing Budget (CapEx, OpEx)
  • 3+ years automation exposure / experience
  • Experience using Lean Six Sigma tools
  • Ability to coach and lead Continuous Improvement activities
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Bilingual – English / Spanish
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • CNC machine experience
  • AutoCAD
  • Plastic injection molding / extrusion experience
  • Compensation and Benefits

    Pay Range : 142,818.50 - 200,295.12

    Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. You may also be offered a competitive bonus and / or commission plan, which complements a total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off, and various employee discounts.
