Pipe Laser Machine Operator

Stainless Piping Specialists is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team to operate our Pipe Laser Machine. Come work with a great talented group here at SPS!

Summary / Objective :

The laser machine operator position safely performs laser cutting for a variety of Stainless Pipe configurations. This is a 1st shift position that will work Monday thru Friday from 6 : 00am to 2 : 30pm.

Essential Functions :

• Perform typical Pipe laser cutting operations.
• Select proper cutting programs.
• Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point.
• Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
• Perform prescribed operator maintenance as required.
• Perform dimensional inspections.
• Detect and report defective materials to supervisor.
• May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.
• Load equipment with raw material using the overhead crane and / or forklift in order to prepare the equipment for an accurate cut.
