American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit in Missouri, with ACLS and BCLS certifications required.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital Stepdown unit caring for progressive care patients
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7 : 00 to 19 : 00
  • Level II Trauma and Level II Stroke Center environment
  • Patient population includes intermediate care with stepdown acuity
  • Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is preferred
  • Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate if within a 50-mile radius
  • Duties include providing nursing care for patients requiring stepdown level monitoring and interventions
  • Assignments require completion of non-billable orientation modules via MyPath
  • Modules are completed during orientation and take approximately 4 hours
  • Free parking is provided on site
  • RTO requests must be provided at the time of application
  • Two professional references are required for consideration
  • Preference is given to candidates with prior travel experience

  • Active MO or Compact RN license in hand prior to start; pending accepted at time of consideration
  • Current BCLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Stepdown or progressive care experience preferred
  • BSN preferred
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Must provide a copy of driver’s license and SSN for consideration
  • Employees must not have worked at the facility in the prior 12 months to be eligible as a traveler
