The Traveling Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager for data center construction projects is responsible for leading and coordinating the planning, execution, and delivery of projects across multiple locations. This role ensures that all aspects of the project-including scheduling, budgeting, safety, and quality-are effectively managed to meet client and organizational goals.
Job Description
- Provide project management assistance through completion of projects on time and under budget
- Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential
- Help create, review, negotiate, and works with the project team to process the meeting minutes, Owner Change Orders, and requests for information
- Establish, communicate, and implement the Project Schedule
- Interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget
- Develop a thorough understanding of the details of the project
- Manage the Quality Assurance / Quality Control program
- Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and fee and pricing decisions

The Successful Applicant
- At least 1+ years of construction project management experience
- Project experience with mission critical / data center work required
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field recommended
- Team player with a positive and driven attitude
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- The ability to work in a fast paced work environment
- Desire to further career as a Project Manager
- OSHA certification preferred
- Open to national travel
