ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Wichita, Kansas.

RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

  • Work 12-hour shifts : 11 : 00 AM to 11 : 00 PM or 1 : 00 PM to 1 : 00 AM
  • Patient ratios : 3 : 1 average, low acuity 5 : 1, pediatrics team nursing (estimated ratios, not guaranteed)
  • Work in a 52-bed emergency department with 134 staff members
  • Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician and 1 midlevel per pod
  • Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician and 1 midlevel per pod
  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, NIH
  • Kansas nursing license required
  • Must have experience in traveling or experience at large facility areas
  • Preferred qualifications : TNCC, Meditech experience, experience in 52+ bed emergency department
  • Typical procedures include IV starts, medication administration, sedations, pediatrics care
  • Work with Alaris equipment and Meditech EMR system
  • Must be able to keep up with fast-paced emergency department environment
  • Expected to scan patients and medications every time
  • Must be diverse, able to learn quickly, and handle responsibilities independently

The facility maintains modern equipment including Alaris systems and utilizes Meditech EMR for patient documentation. The emergency department is staffed with experienced healthcare professionals and maintains a collaborative team environment with physicians, midlevels, nurses, technicians, and support staff working together to deliver excellent patient care.
