About The Position
Seeking an experienced Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for locum tenens coverage in Dover, DE. Starting January 2026, this role offers a 3–6 month availability with a competitive market rate and ongoing coverage. Open to licensing new candidates!

Schedule :
Four weekday shifts per week :
- Two 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM shifts
- Two 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 00 PM shifts
Call coverage :
1–2 weekday nights (Monday–Thursday, 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)1 in 3 weekends (Friday 7 : 00 PM – Monday 7 : 00 AM)Key Responsibilities :
Post-operative patient resuscitation in CVSICURespond to stat consults and changes in clinical statusAssist with emergent OR casesManage nursing and patient calls from home during call periodsWeekend inpatient roundingPerform endoscopic and open vein harvest (EVH) and chest tube placementEVH capability (open and endoscopic)Ability to manage high-acuity cases independentlyEMR : EPIC
Support Staff : Surgeons, APCs, nursing team
Patient Encounters : 10–20 per shift
