Location : Atwood, Illinois

Shift : Day shift

Schedule : Fridays 7am-4pm

Job Summary :

Performs patient specimen analysis for diagnostic purposes. Brings panic value test results to the attention of the licensed healthcare worker responsible for the patient as required by policy. Cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes various equipment and work areas in the laboratory area of the clinic. Assists in maintaining laboratory inventory. Processes specimens in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, bacteriology. Performs venipunctures and skin punctures competently and expediently. Has thorough knowledge of test requirements. Welcomes and greets patients to clinic. Provides clinical assistance in the clinic to the physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, nurses, and therapists. Escorts patients through the clinic environment, gathers and records clinical data relevant to the patient’s visit. Provides education about clinic processes or wait times to patients. Appropriately elevates patient concerns. Reports patient issues to the Lead Medical Assistant, Nursing Coordinator, and / or Assistant Clinic Director. Performs any other clinical duty as directed by clinic leadership.

Requirements :

Regulatory Requirements :

High school graduate or equivalent.

CMA certification, phlebotomy, or other relevant experience preferred.
