Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Install sheet metal components, including ductwork, roofing, siding, and other metal products, according to blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.Installation of HVAC units, electronic, and mechanical components.Cut and shape sheet metal using various cutting equipment to meet project dimensions.Troubleshoot and repair HVAC units, including electronic and mechanical components.Lay out and position sheet metal components based on project drawings and specifications, ensuring proper alignment and adherence to design requirements.Reads blueprints, piping, sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams.Secure sheet metal components in place using appropriate fasteners, adhesives, welding, or soldering techniques. Ensure that all fastenings are done securely to withstand environmental conditions.Operates a variety of equipment, such as hand tools and diagnostic hardware.Operates various measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments.Install or gas lines.Conserve, install, and recycle CFC and HCFC (Chlorofluorocarbon family) refrigerants if certified.Comply with the standards for HVAC systems as dictated by the State where the work is being done.Brazing, soldering, pipefitting, welding, and fabrication may be performed if certified.Install Condensate pippingMinimum Qualifications and Experience :
An active driver's license within the state where work is conducted.4+ years of HVAC installation experienceAbility to read blueprints, piping, sketches, schematics, and wiring diagramsAbility to check work email (smartphone, computer, tablet, etc) - the company provides a $10 stipend for data.Basic Proficiency in English required. Candidates must have a basic understanding of English for safety purposes and to communicate with colleagues, vendors, and contractors on-site effectively.
