$1000 Sign-On Bonus for external candidates!\n\nProHealth Physicians, part of the Optum family of businesses, is excited to announce an immediate opening for a Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team.\n\nAs part of the Optum Care Delivery team, you will play a crucial role in our mission to enhance healthcare quality for all. You will collaborate with talented peers in an inclusive environment committed to the Quadruple Aim, advancing the health of the communities we serve.\n\nJoin Glastonbury Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, ProHealth Physicians, part of Optum, in this full-time position (40 hours), working Monday to Friday with four 10-hour shifts. The practice typically operates from 7 : 30 am to 6 : 30 pm with rotating Saturdays from 8 : 00 am to 12 : 00 pm. You may occasionally float to local practices to provide coverage, and your schedule will be determined by the Practice Manager upon hire.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n

  • Support the care team and its patients by delivering nursing care according to established standards and practices.\n
  • Educate patients and assist in coordinating services from other providers and resources.\n
  • Act as a liaison between patients, staff, and providers.\n
  • Document patient interactions and clinical activities accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR).\n
  • Maintain a respectful and friendly demeanor towards patients and ProHealth staff while ensuring patient confidentiality.\n
  • Build patient trust and loyalty through attentive care.\n
  • Prepare patients for appointments by collecting and recording vital signs and medical history.\n
  • Triage patients in accordance with approved protocols and ProHealth's Appointment and Scheduling Guidelines.\n
  • Provide patient care, including administering injections and performing preventive screenings.\n
  • Educate patients on their conditions and provide instructions for self-management.\n
  • Follow standing orders for prescription refills and testing as required by ProHealth policies.\n
  • Schedule tests, treatments, and follow-up appointments, assisting patients in accessing disease management resources.\n
  • Perform outreach to patients for appointments, communicate test results, and follow up on care plans.\n
  • Monitor task lists to respond to tasks promptly and ensure follow-up on important referrals.\n
  • Order supplies and maintain proper records, preparing and sterilizing equipment as needed.\n
  • Train and orient clinical support staff on relevant clinical issues.\n
  • Stay informed on current coding, OSHA, and CLIA regulations, along with ProHealth policies.\n
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure efficient office operations and excellent service delivery.\n

  • Active, unrestricted RN licensure in CT.\n
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience.\n
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.\n\nPreferred Qualifications : \n
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).\n
  • Experience in pediatric nursing.\n
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).\n\nCompensation is based on factors including local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications.
