Supervise Loading And Offloading Of Aircraft

To supervise the loading and offloading of aircraft to ensure that safe and efficient operations exist at Fedex station / ramp facilities; and to plan, organize, direct, and control all operations within the service area in a way that provides maximum service to customers while maintaining a cost effective station operation.

Two (2) years college / equivalent. Five (5) years business experience, preferably including 18 months as a Fedex operations manager. Knowledge of Fedex field operating features of service, systems, policies and procedures. Ability to lift 75 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 75 lbs. with appropriate equipment and / or assistance from another person. Must be able to support a 7 day / 24 hour operation. Strong basic management, human relations and communication skills. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Must successfully complete weight and balance training if managing any trunk ramp agents. Subject to regulatory alcohol and drug testing which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine, and opiates. Requires medical exam in accordance with FHWA or FAA regulations. Must possess a valid commercial drivers licence for type of vehicle assigned and required endorsement hazardous materials (HME).

Minimum Education

High school diploma / GED.

Minimum Experience

• One year experience in FedEx supervisory / lead roles, ex. Ramp agent / Ops Lead / Team Lead OR
• Two years management experience (for external candidates) OR
• Completion of a certified internal leadership development program, including AiM. OR
• Bachelor's degree OR
• Twelve months general FedEx operations experience

Knowledge of FedEx field operating features of service, systems, policies and procedures. Strong basic management, human relations and communication skills. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Must be able to support a 7 day / 24-hour operation. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must possessed a valid commercial driver's license for type of vehicle assigned and required endorsement hazardous materials (EHM). Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Must successfully complete weight and balance training if managing any trunk ramp agents. FAA-covered safety sensitive position. Medical exam required. Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing, which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
