Job Title : Senior Robotics Service Technician
Location : Milwaukee, WI
Salary Range : $58,000 – $72,000 per year (based on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Robotics Service Technician to play a key role in the build, debug, and commissioning of automated systems. In this position, you will work closely with lead personnel to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for someone with strong robotics, PLC integration, and troubleshooting expertise who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in project kickoff meetings and document key details to support project success.
Manage and track all testing, run-off, and customer specifications documentation.
Attend and present at weekly project status meetings, providing clear updates on issues, resources, and progress.
Estimate and track assembly / debug hours, providing accurate updates during project reviews.
Communicate daily with project managers on status, challenges, and milestones.
Review material shortage lists to ensure timely component delivery.
Manage assembly personnel to maintain project efficiency, forecast manpower needs, and oversee work quality.
Ensure assembly practices and customer specifications are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Support engineering and applications teams in developing new cell designs, quoting robot applications, and verifying robot options.
Perform full robot programming architecture, including setup, calibration, I / O programming, communication setup, and program structure verification.
Integrate and troubleshoot vision systems, robotics, and automated equipment.
Required Qualifications
4–6 years of robotic and / or PLC integration experience with manufacturing equipment.
Strong background in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of automated systems.
Proficiency in robotic offline simulation programming.
Hands-on experience with vision system integration, troubleshooting, and programming.
2- or 4-year degree in Electrical, Software Development, or Mechanical Engineering.
CAD and SolidWorks experience.
Ability to program and start up robotic platforms from scratch, including calibration, I / O programming, and communication setup.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Strong PC skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
Self-motivated and able to lead and motivate team members.
