Responsible for rendering technical patient care and assistance to assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Treatment rooms and the storeroom are appropriately stocked with supplies to ensure prompt patient treatment.

Comprehensive Emergency Services :
UVA Health's Pediatric Emergency Department is a 12-bed, including 1 resuscitation bay, for patients newborn to 21 years old. The Peds ED sees about 50-60 patients daily. We work in collaboration with the Adult ED for trauma admits less than 16 years old. Part of the #1 Children's Hospital in Virginia. Lot of Learning opportunities!

Minimum Qualifications
Education : High School Graduate or Equivalent
Experience : No experience required
Licensure / Certifications : Must be State Certified as one of the following : EMT-B EMT-C EMT-ST or EMT-P. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Physical Demands
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending / stooping / traveling and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift / push / pull >
100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, humidity, cold, heat, radiation, outdoor climate, blood / body fluids, infectious disease, noise and dust.
