You've established a clear academic vision in the past and accepted full ownership of its results. You've led actively, not from the sidelines. And when it comes to learning science, you're not experimenting—you've created something tangible, produced outcomes that validate its effectiveness, and earned credibility to present it publicly. If that describes your background, 2 Hour Learning is seeking its academic compass.

2 Hour Learning has developed a system where students achieve twice the learning progress in only two hours per day. AI‑driven tutoring, mastery‑oriented advancement, and a fundamental shift away from traditional classroom formats underpin these results. The performance data is compelling. We now require a leader capable of aligning implementation across varied school frameworks, elevating academic leadership standards, and serving as the public advocate for a movement anchored in disciplined learning science.

This is not a position centered on academic theory. It is a leadership imperative. You will direct the academic strategy in execution, establish rigorous standards, diagnose implementation shortfalls, and develop elite teams to achieve measurable outcomes. You will convert our scientific principles into operational rigor and articulate the rationale for this model on a global stage.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Designing academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable direction for curriculum development, student motivation systems, and application architecture.
  • Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to verify school teams are synchronized, accountable, and producing outcomes.
  • Integrating data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify the most critical obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend targeted solutions.
  • Ensuring strategic coherence through structured planning, continuous feedback mechanisms, and progress tracking to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
  • Serving as the principal external representative of 2 Hour Learning, delivering keynote presentations and engaging with Ministries of Education to influence systemic transformation in global education paradigms.

  • Adjusting individual curriculum elements without producing broader systemic impact.
  • Producing theoretical research disconnected from student performance or operational implementation.
  • Transferring accountability for results to mid‑level managers or external consultants.
  • Depending on institutional reputation or conceptual arguments to convince critical stakeholders.
  • Director Of Academic Excellence Key Responsibilities

    Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by aligning execution across multiple schools, raising leadership performance standards, and establishing yourself as the authoritative public advocate for a movement rooted in rigorous science and demonstrated outcomes.

    Basic Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
  • 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes
  • Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning
  • Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising
  • Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar
  • Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions
  • Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders
  • Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high‑performing EdTech venture
  • Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts
  • Deep familiarity with Bloom's 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks

    Working with us

    This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD / hour, which equates to $400,000 USD / year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
