AI Training Specialist & Subject Matter Expert (SME)

About the Role : Elevate Generative AI Performance

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and versatile AI Training Specialist and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to directly influence the quality and performance of cutting-edge Generative AI models ( LLMs ). This freelance role is central to improving factual accuracy, coherence, and safety across a wide array of subject domains.

You will leverage your deep subject matter expertise (e.g., in Finance, Law, STEM, Coding, or Creative Writing) to train, refine, and validate AI outputs. Your work ensures our models deliver expert-level, reliable content.

Tasks

Prompt Engineering : Design, test, and optimize complex prompts to guide LLMs toward desired, high-quality, and nuanced responses.

Data Validation & Labeling : Review, edit, and fact-check AI-generated text for factual accuracy, grammatical correctness, and alignment with specific project guidelines.

Quality & Safety Assurance : Apply critical human judgment to rate and rank AI responses, identifying and correcting instances of bias, inaccuracy, or toxicity (adhering to AI Ethics standards).

SME Content Generation : Create new, expert-level training data (e.g., summaries, explanations, or code) to fill knowledge gaps within the model.

Documentation : Maintain clear documentation of prompt successes, failure modes, and required model adjustments.

Requirements

Subject Matter Expertise : Proven deep knowledge in at least one highly specialized domain (e.g., advanced mathematics, regulatory compliance, specific programming languages).

Generative AI Experience : Hands-on experience working with and evaluating outputs from major Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT, Claude, or Gemini.

Prompt Fluency : Exceptional ability to craft clear, strategic, and effective input queries ( Prompt Engineering ) to manage model behavior.

Analytical & Communication Skills : Impeccable attention to detail, strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and excellent written English communication.

Work Style : Highly self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently to meet project deadlines in a fully remote environment.
