Job descriptionMinimum of 2 years EEG technician experience required, Must have EMU monitoring experience, Experience working with pediatric patients required, Current VA or compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration (license required if applicable), Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program (diploma, Associate's, or BSN accepted); BSN preferred, Epic charting experience required, Two professional references required, Duties include EEG monitoring and performing maintenance on all EEG equipment, Holiday coverage is required when holidays fall during scheduled shifts, All time off must be approved and is not guaranteed, with no time off allowed during the first week of the assignment, Return staff must be gone for at least one year before eligibility to return as a traveler, Locals are accepted at the same base rate; there are no radius requirements, Natural nail policy in effect; artificial nails are prohibited, Drug- and smoke-free workplace, Candidates may not begin without completed fingerprinting and results if required for ER or Psych areas, Mandatory modules must be completed during orientation, Do not exceed 40 hours per week unless manager approval is obtained,
American Traveler is seeking an experienced EEG Technologist for a night shift position in an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, requiring EMU monitoring and pediatric EEG experience.
Job Details
- Work in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit with coverage of inpatient EEG requests as needed,
- Patient population includes pediatrics,
- Responsibilities include monitoring and maintenance of EEGs, with EMU experience required,
- 3x12 hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM,
- Requires work on holidays that fall during scheduled shifts,
- Expected to float within scope if needed,
- Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience required,
