About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required; ICU experience required

License : Valid nursing license

Certifications : BLS, ACLS required

Must-Have : Must have Level 1 trauma experience

Description :

Candidates must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance.

Travel teams must have their own vehicles.

Candidates must have natural hair color and no facial piercings.

Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing.

All RNs will be expected to complete a skills lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.

This is a pass / fail assessment.

Nurses must maintain sterile field competency, as it is a critical nursing skill.

If a candidate is not competent in sterile field management, they may not be a good fit for this role.

In addition to the skills lab, candidates will also receive educational training on lifts, restraints, and wound care.

The nursing ratio in this specialty area is 1 : 2.

The electronic medical record system used is Cerner.

Charge nurse duties may be part of the position.

Shifts will consist of three 12-hour shifts per week, with no weekend or holiday requirements.

Scrubs will be provided by the facility.

There is 24 / 7 pharmacy and respiratory therapy support available.

Common diagnoses include cardiac catheterization recovery and general anesthesia or conscious sedation patients.

The facility reserves the right to cancel up to four shifts during a 13-week assignment.
