SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (HYBRID ~25% ONSITE IN RICHMOND, IN)

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team supporting the EECO brand. This role is hybrid, with flexibility to work remotely but requires being onsite in Richmond, IN approximately 25% of the time.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position plays a critical role in overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and driving process improvements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

FINANCIAL REPORTING

  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Support site leadership with financial inquiries
  • Complete month-end close tasks including bank reconciliations and journal entries
  • Coordinate with FP&A team for consolidated reporting

GENERAL LEDGER MANAGEMENT

  • Oversee and maintain the general ledger
  • Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules
  • Review and post daily AR and AP entries
  • Analyze inventory adjustments and cost variances

    • COMPLIANCE AND AUDIT

  • Support external audits and prepare schedules
  • File monthly sales tax returns and regulatory filings
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures

    • PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
  • Partner with external system consultants
  • Train and support finance staff
  • Share best practices at the site level

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • 2 or more years of public accounting experience
  • 2 to 7 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of inventory accounting
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to site locations
