Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

A company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support the Molten Chloride Fast Reactor program.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate input and requirements from engineering and project teams to produce mechanical design solutions

Create 3D models of structures, systems, and components

Perform detailed mechanical analyses, including hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA)

Qualifications

B.S. in Mechanical or related discipline with 6+ years of relevant experience, or M.S. with 3+ years

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred

Proficient in ANSYS (or similar FEA software) and SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software)

Proven experience delivering qualified hardware and supporting documentation

Knowledge of NQA-1 or ISO 9001 quality programs
