Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Water / Wastewater Project Manager with a focus in water / wastewater infrastructure design and in-depth design engineering experience in municipal conveyance, treatment, and pumping systems in our Chicago, IL office.

This role offers an opportunity to progress down the project management career path with a focus on client business growth, project delivery leadership and mentoring of engineering staff by leveraging top notch regional and national water / wastewater engineering expertise and capabilities. The appropriately qualified applicant will have the opportunity to manage and work with an established team of professional engineers on a variety of water, wastewater, and conveyance design projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :

• Serves as Project Manager on medium to large water / wastewater treatment plants and pump station projects
• Prepares technical memoranda, planning studies and final design calculations, plans and specifications
• Provides technical direction and mentorship for junior staff
• Coordinates with other discipline leads, clients, consultants, and agencies in management and implementation of projects
• Participates all aspects of project delivery, including scope, schedule, finance, and quality
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule
• Builds and maintain relationships with clients and industry professionals
• Assists in identifying opportunities, development of proposals and statement of qualifications

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

• BA / BS and 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education

Preferred Qualifications :

• 8+ years of water infrastructure design experience
• Professional Engineer (PE)
• Experience working on municipal projects
• Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
