Construction Project Manager (CPM)

The Construction Project Manager (CPM) within Microsofts Data Center Delivery (DCD) organization plays a pivotal role in enabling the global expansion of Microsofts cloud infrastructure. CPM drives the deployment of large-scale, campus-based delivery solutions that can be scaled and replicated across Microsofts global data center portfolio.

In this role, the DCD CPM organization provides strategic leadership and hands-on execution, serving as the primary point of contact for project development and delivery. The team partners closely with Commissioning, Operations, Security, Engineering, Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), vendors, and regional corporate leadership to deliver on Microsofts mission-critical construction goals.

By analyzing industry best practices, optimizing internal processes, and recommending data-driven improvements, the CPM team delivers solutions that drive cost savings, enhance customer experience, and improve asset performance. DCD CPM is empowered to make key decisions, influence partners, and resolve complex issues affecting global projects while ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.

The DCD CPM also champions a culture of safety, compliance, and risk management, interpreting regulatory requirements to enforce standards and establishing metrics, dashboards, and scorecards to drive performance and accountability. By fostering vendor relationships and robust project governance, the team ensures the successful delivery of mission-critical, large-scale data center campuses that enable Microsofts cloud growth worldwide.
