The position of Machinist, Level I at Aqua-Chem will need to process components for assembly into customized clean water systems for customers domestic and around the world. Aqua-Chem is a team orientated work environment that encourages employee growth and innovation.

Schedule : (1st Shift) Monday - Thursday, 6 : 00am - 4 : 30pm (OT may be required on Friday's 6 : 00am - 2 : 30pm)

Location : Onsite; Knoxville, TN

Pay Range : $20.00 - $26.00 / hr, Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties :

• Mazatrol Matrix, M32, or Mazak Smooth control use experience is needed.
• Machine materials into components in accordance with company / customer requirements utilizing a variety of machining equipment.
• CNC Lathes and Mazak Lathes use.
• Drill Press, manual lathes, and manual mills use.
• Program CNC equipment to produce components that meet quality specifications.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklift / overhead crane) to maneuver parts safely into place, while facilitating and optimizing workflow.
• Calculate dimensions or tolerances using instruments such as micrometers and / or vernier calipers.
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.
• Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools such as lathes, and milling machines.
• Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings and engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operation needed to fabricate products needed for production.
• Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
• Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Comprehend and follow ISO procedures to ensure compliance with standard.
• Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.
• Participate in root cause analysis projects and Continuous Improvement programs.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager / Supervisor.
